Job Description:

We are looking for a hands-on HSE Officer to join our team. Your main goal will be to keep our workplace safe and handle our NAFDAC regulatory processes. If you are organized, know safety rules inside and out, and have direct experience dealing with NAFDAC applications, this role is for you.

Requirements:

Safety & Compliance (HSE)

• Keep Us Safe: Conduct safety inspections, check for risks, and investigate any accidents.

• Safety Rules: Make sure everyone is following safety standards and using their protective equipment (PPE).

• Training: Teach staff about safety procedures and hold regular "toolbox talks" to keep safety top-of-mind.

• Reports: Keep accurate records of all safety activities and support internal and external audits.

NAFDAC & Regulatory

• Handle NAFDAC: This is a key part of your job. You will manage all NAFDAC applications, renewals, and ensure our regulatory documentation is perfect.

Facility Upkeep

• Maintain the Facility: Oversee general cleaning, monitor utilities, and make sure equipment gets regular preventive maintenance so everything runs well.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience & Education

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering.

• Experience: 3–5 years of experience in HSE, specifically in a chemical or manufacturing factory.

• Mandatory (Required):

  • You must have direct, hands-on experience handling NAFDAC applications and renewals.

  • You must hold a valid safety certification (NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA).

Skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to write clear, accurate reports.

• A proactive attitude toward solving problems and maintaining high standards.

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards is an added advantage.
