Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity and structurally elite Head of Legal to anchor the protective and strategic engine of our operations. In a specialized commercial landscape where institutional momentum is dictated by the speed of the closing and the precision of the title perfection success is defined by "Legal Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize high-value transactions with the clinical precision required for Joint Venture Structures, Land Acquisition, and Cross-Border Expansion. This role is designed for a "Legal Architect", specifically a professional with 10–15 years of post-call experience who can blend "Litigation Grit" (managing disputes and external counsel) with the "Strategic Agility" required to serve as the principal advisor to the CEO and structure complex construction and financing arrangements.

Requirements:

1. Orchestration & Advisory Governance

  • Advisory Sovereignty: Act as the chief legal advisor to leadership with millimetric focus, acting as the primary "Source of Practical Guidance."

  • Structural Architecture: Advise on and structure JVAs, investment arrangements, and financing deals, providing the "Structural Foundation" for sustainable corporate growth.

  • Governance Stewardship: Support board processes and corporate governance, ensuring the "Source of Institutional Integrity" is elite and uncompromised.

2. Tactical Resilience & Contractual Logic

  • Contract Sovereignty: Draft and negotiate robust construction, turnkey, and off-plan agreements, acting as the primary "Source of Risk Protection."

  • Land Architecture: Lead all aspects of title verification and regulatory approvals, providing the "Functional Foundation" for secure asset acquisition.

  • Dispute Stewardship: Manage claims and oversee external counsel to ensure senior-level handling, maintaining the "Source of Resolution Velocity."

3. Operational Integrity & Global Power

  • Compliance Sovereignty: Establish and maintain strong systems to ensure adherence to all laws, acting as the primary "Source of Regulatory Safety."

  • Expansion Architecture: Provide legal structures for new markets and cross-border initiatives, providing the "Relational Foundation" for international success.

  • Velocity Logic: Utilize 10–15+ years of top-tier legal expertise to accelerate the "Negotiation-to-Execution" cycle, maximizing the "Source of Transactional Throughput."

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: LL.B and BL (Nigerian Law School).

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 – 15 years post-call experience, ideally with a top-tier law firm background.

  • Expertise: Deep mastery of Real Estate Law, Corporate/Commercial Law, and Contract Negotiation.

  • Transactional Power: Proven experience handling high-value deals and complex structured financing.
