Job Description:
- Our client operates within Nigeria’s regulated pension ecosystem under the supervision of the National Pension Commission, supporting pension inclusion through structured, agent-led distribution models.
- The Head, Corporate Planning and Product Development will drive corporate strategy, business model design, and the development of compliant, scalable product offerings aligned with the Personal Pension Plan (PPP).
- The role sits at the intersection of strategy, regulation, and execution—ensuring all offerings are commercially viable, operationally feasible, and fully compliant with regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Planning & Strategy:
- Lead the development and periodic review of corporate strategy, business plans, and long-term growth roadmaps.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable operating plans, KPIs, and measurable benchmarks.
- Support executive decision-making through market analysis, scenario planning, and financial impact assessments.
Product Development & Structuring:
- Design and refine compliant product offerings, including PPP facilitation models and approved bundled services.
- Ensure clear separation between pension assets and company revenues in line with regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Compliance to secure necessary regulatory approvals prior to rollout.
Market & Customer Insight:
- Drive market research, segmentation, and contribution-behaviour analysis, particularly within informal and self-employed segments.
- Use field and partner insights to refine value propositions, pricing assumptions, and service delivery models.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Performance Monitoring:
- Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Technology, and Finance to ensure seamless execution of approved products.
- Monitor product performance, adoption metrics, and contributor engagement trends.
- Prepare strategic and performance reports for Executive Management and the Board.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 7–10 years’ experience in corporate planning, strategy, product development, or management consulting—preferably within financial services or regulated sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in business model design, market analysis, and compliance-driven product structuring.
- Prior experience engaging regulators or operating within highly regulated environments is an advantage.
