Job Description:
- Provide strategic leadership for the Financial Institutions Group to drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share across all assigned portfolios.
- Champion the acquisition of new Financial Institution clients while strengthening and expanding existing relationships.
- Lead the development and execution of marketing, sales, and relationship management strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee income generation across defined product and service lines within the Financial Institution ecosystem.
- Establish, develop, and maintain strong executive relationships with clients, partners, regulators, and vendors.
- Provide oversight for effective communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement (internal and external).
- Lead the resolution of escalated client issues to ensure service excellence and client retention.
- Drive strategic initiatives, research, and special projects as assigned by Executive Management.
- Contribute to enterprise-wide business strategy formulation, particularly within the payments and financial institutions space.
- Oversee departmental budgeting, financial performance tracking, and cost optimization.
- Ensure optimal staffing, capability development, and succession planning within the Group.
- Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
- Present periodic executive dashboards, performance reports, and business reviews to Senior Management and the Board where required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive growth of assigned Financial Institution clients’ market share across all processing and payment platforms.
- Lead revenue generation from all products and services offered within the Financial Institutions segment.
- Provide executive management reports, insights, and strategic performance reviews.
- Oversee end-to-end client relationship management at executive and operational levels.
- Initiate, sponsor, and deliver new business schemes, partnerships, and industry initiatives. Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and commercial structuring with clients and partners.
- Supervise and monitor Relationship Officers and team leads to ensure productivity and target achievement.
- Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities across the organization’s product suite. Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform strategy. Ensure service delivery excellence and SLA compliance across all client engagements.
- Collaborate with Technology, Operations, Risk, and Finance teams to deliver integrated client solutions
Requirements:
- Education: First Degree or its equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related discipline.
- Others: MBA, MSc, or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIM, CFA, ACCA) — Added advantage
- Experience: Minimum of 14 years’ relevant experience in Marketing, Sales, Business Development, or Relationship Management within reputable Financial Institutions or the Payments Industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
