Job Description:
We are seeking an intellectually curious and responsible Graduate Trainee (Electrical Engineer) to help us advance our suite of electrical products, systems, and applications. This role is a fast-track opportunity for a top-tier graduate to move from theoretical engineering to practical, high-stakes facility and systems management.
Reporting directly to the Maintenance and Facilities Manager, you will be at the heart of our technical operations. You won't just be maintaining equipment; you will be analyzing system performance, assisting in budget preparation for new technologies, and ensuring every installation meets rigorous safety standards. Requirements:
1. Systems Design & Integration
Collaborative Engineering: Work alongside senior engineers and technicians to design and implement innovative system processes.
Safety & Standards: Ensure all electrical installations and applications are perfectly aligned with customer needs and international safety codes.
New Equipment Evaluation: Examine the needs for next-generation equipment, performing cost-benefit analyses and assisting in the preparation of capital budgets.
2. Performance Analytics & IT Systems
Systems Analysis: Perform detailed quality and performance audits on both new and legacy IT systems that support our electrical infrastructure.
Data Synthesis: Summarize complex technical data and report on test results to inform maintenance strategies.
Maintenance Oversight: Monitor and optimize maintenance and inspection plans to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifecycle.
3. Operational Excellence
Budgetary Support: Calculate costs for upgrades and help manage the financial health of the engineering department.
Compliance Stewardship: Maintain a deep understanding of electrical manufacturing processes and engineering codes to ensure 100% regulatory compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
Academic & Professional Profile
Education: Minimum of Second Class Honours, Upper Division (2:1) in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Nigerian University.
Age Limit: Not more than 28 years old.
Experience: 0–2 years (Fresh graduates who have completed NYSC are encouraged to apply).
Core Competencies
Technical Depth: Deep knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes and safety standards.
Analytical Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose complex electrical faults and propose efficient solutions.
Communication: Strong organizational and verbal skills to report findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
