Job Description:

NewGlobe is seeking a "T-shaped" Full-Stack Engineer to join our Lagos-based cross-functional development teams. In this role, you won't just write code; you will build the software architecture that powers high-stakes educational offerings across the globe.

Requirements:

1. Full-Stack Product Engineering

• Holistic Design: Design, implement, and support new features across the entire stack, from Vue.js front-ends to C#/.NET Core back-ends.

• T-Shaped Collaboration: Work across the stack to ensure products are built with an eye toward quality, maintainability, and massive scalability.

• Architectural Strategy: Collaborate with product teams to establish the technical direction and product strategy, ensuring our educational tools remain world-class.

2. Agile Delivery & Quality Assurance

• CI/CD Mastery: Thrive in a continuous delivery environment using tools like Jenkins, Octopus, or Bamboo to ship high-quality code frequently.

• Quality Frameworks: Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) to ensure the bar for quality is consistently met.

• Requirement Elaboration: Partner with project sponsors to navigate technical trade-offs that maximize value for our students and teachers.

3. Modern Infrastructure & Open Source

• Cloud & Containers: Leverage AWS and Docker to build and manage resilient, containerized applications.

• Progressive Web Tech: Develop and optimize Single Page Applications (SPAs) and Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) to deliver seamless user experiences.

• OSS Advocacy: Contribute to and leverage Open Source projects, fostering a culture of community-driven innovation.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Core Experience: 3+ years of enterprise software development experience specifically with C# (.NET Core) and MS SQL Server.

• Front-End Proficiency: Demonstrated experience building responsive interfaces with Vue.js.

• Delivery IQ: Practical familiarity with continuous delivery practices and automated deployment tools.

Technical "Plus" Areas (Interest is a Must)

• Environment: Experience with Cloud (AWS) and Containerization (Docker).

• Testing: Proficiency in TDD/BDD methodologies.

• Polyglot Interest: Exposure to Node.js, Ruby, or NoSQL databases.

• OSS: A history of contributing to Open Source projects is a significant advantage.
