Job Description:

Java Construction is seeking a highly skilled and seasoned Architect to serve as the creative and technical cornerstone of our development team. In a reputable real estate firm, an Architect is more than a designer, you are the "Guardian of Project Integrity," ensuring that innovative visions are translated into functional, high-quality structures that meet rigorous building codes. This role is designed for a "Technical Visionary", a professional with 5–15 years of experience who can navigate the entire project lifecycle from the first sketch to the final site inspection.

Your mission is to deliver architectural excellence that balances aesthetics with commercial viability. You will be responsible for the entire design-to-delivery workflow: from preparing Revit-based construction documents and coordinating with Quantity Surveyors to conducting site visits that ensure 100% compliance with approved plans. If you possess a deep understanding of Nigerian building regulations and the leadership grit to provide technical guidance to site teams, we want you to shape our skyline.

Requirements:

1. Design Architecture & Regulatory Governance

• Technical Detailing: Prepare and review comprehensive architectural designs, drawings, and specifications, ensuring every detail aligns with project requirements and global innovation standards.

• Statutory Compliance: Ensure all designs strictly adhere to ARCON standards, local building codes, and planning approvals to facilitate seamless regulatory sign-offs.

• Material Selection: Review and approve shop drawings, finishes, and material selections, ensuring they meet the durability and aesthetic standards of a premium developer.

2. Cross-Functional Coordination & Site Oversight

• Engineering Synergy: Act as the central hub for technical coordination, working closely with Structural/MEP Engineers and Quantity Surveyors to maintain design integrity across all disciplines.

• Compliance Monitoring: Conduct regular site visits to audit architectural compliance, ensuring that "as-built" structures mirror the approved "as-designed" plans.

• Lifecycle Guidance: Provide continuous architectural input throughout the construction phase, resolving on-site technical challenges and refining finishes in real-time.

3. Advanced Design Proficiency

• Software Mastery: Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp to produce high-fidelity 2D and 3D documentation that serves as the "source of truth" for the construction team.

• Process Leadership: Manage multiple project threads under pressure, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and professional decorum.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.

• Experience: 5 – 15 years of post-graduation professional experience, specifically within Construction or Real Estate Development.

• Certification: Professional registration with ARCON is highly preferred and considered a significant advantage.
