Job Description:

We are seeking a disciplined and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team in Amuwo-Odofin. This role is the engine of our financial department, responsible for ensuring the absolute accuracy of our books, the timeliness of our payments, and the integrity of our financial reporting.

You will manage the full cycle of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), act as a bridge between our vendors and customers, and ensure we are always audit-ready. Requirements:

1. Financial Ledger & Transaction Management

  • Bookkeeping Integrity: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all entries align with standard accounting principles.

  • AP/AR Ownership: Process invoices, manage payments, and track receivables to ensure healthy cash flow and professional vendor relations.

  • Close Process Support: Play a vital role in the monthly and quarterly financial close cycles, ensuring all spreadsheets and summaries are accurate and timely.

2. Reconciliation & Financial Reporting

  • Transaction Monitoring: Perform rigorous bank reconciliations and monitor daily financial transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies immediately.

  • Expense Governance: Manage the end-to-end expense reimbursement process, ensuring all documentation is valid and compliant with company policy.

  • Reporting Excellence: Prepare clear financial reports and data-driven summaries to provide management with visibility into fiscal performance.

3. Compliance & Stakeholder Relations

  • Audit & Tax Readiness: Help maintain and organize a highly structured physical and digital filing system for external audits and tax filings.

  • Stakeholder Diplomacy: Coordinate with vendors and customers to resolve complex billing inquiries and payment disputes professionally.

  • Administrative Support: Provide high-level administrative assistance to the finance team to ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of proven experience in a dedicated finance or accounting role.

  • Technical Stack: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and modern accounting software.

  • Work Schedule: Must be willing to work a few hours on Saturdays as part of the operational requirement.
