Job Description:

Flutterwave is seeking a high-caliber Executive Communications Lead to architect, amplify, and safeguard the public voice of our leadership. This is a high-impact role designed for a master storyteller and strategic operator who understands how to leverage the executive’s personal brand to drive Flutterwave’s corporate vision on the global stage.

You will be the strategic mind behind the narrative, responsible for positioning our executive as a preeminent authority in fintech, payments, and the African digital economy. From drafting keynote scripts for international stages to managing high-stakes crisis communications and digital presence on X and LinkedIn, you will ensure every communication is consistent, credible, and visionary.

Requirements:

1. Narrative Architecture & Thought Leadership

• Strategic Positioning: Develop and execute a comprehensive executive communications strategy that aligns personal branding with Flutterwave’s global objectives.

• Content Mastery: Ghostwrite high-level content, including opinion articles (Op-Eds), keynote speeches, internal memos, and social media narratives that resonate with investors, regulators, and customers.

• Fintech Advocacy: Launch thought leadership initiatives that position the executive as a leading voice in innovation and the African digital transformation.

2. Visibility & Engagement Management

• Global Presence: Lead the branding and positioning for executive speaking engagements at major local and international events, ensuring cohesive messaging and elite presentation design.

• Media & Digital Strategy: Manage and grow the executive’s social media presence (LinkedIn, X, etc.) and coordinate high-profile media interventions, including podcasts and panel appearances.

• Briefing & Playbooks: Prepare meticulous briefing documents and communication playbooks to ensure the executive is fully equipped for every stakeholder interaction.

3. Reputation Safeguarding & Performance Analytics

• Crisis Alignment: Manage executive-specific crisis communications, ensuring proactive and reactive messaging is perfectly aligned with the broader corporate stance.

• Sentiment Analysis: Monitor public sentiment and media coverage, providing strategic recommendations based on data-driven social engagement metrics.

• Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate with Product, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure messaging accuracy and the protection of data privacy in line with global best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, or Marketing (Advanced degree preferred).

• Experience: 7+ years in executive communications or brand strategy, ideally within Fintech, Tech, or high-growth global environments.

• Track Record: Demonstrated experience managing the public profile of C-suite leaders or high-profile public figures.
