Job Description:

We are seeking a driven and meticulous Junior Legal Associate to join our Litigation and Dispute Resolution team. This role is a strategic entry point for a recent law graduate looking to transition from academic excellence to high-stakes legal practice.

As a Junior Associate, you will be the engine room of our case preparation, providing the research and administrative backbone that allows our senior team to succeed in court. You will receive structured exposure to the entire litigation lifecycle—from the initial client briefing and registry filings to supporting senior counsel during active hearings. If you have a sharp legal mind, a passion for advocacy, and a commitment to professional integrity, we want to help you build your career.

Requirements:

1. Legal Research & Case Strategy

  • In-Depth Research: Conduct thorough research on statutes, case law, and judicial precedents to support complex litigation strategies.

  • Document Drafting: Prepare initial drafts of basic court processes, legal opinions, and professional correspondence under the guidance of senior associates.

  • Case Preparation: Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable briefs that inform the direction of ongoing disputes.

2. Registry Operations & Court Liaison

  • Registry Management: Oversee the physical and digital filing of court processes, ensuring all statutory deadlines are met with 100% accuracy.

  • Follow-up Protocol: Act as the primary liaison for registry follow-ups, ensuring that cases move through the judicial system without administrative delays.

  • Hearing Support: Provide logistical and technical support to senior associates during court sessions, managing exhibits, case files, and real-time research needs.

3. Knowledge Management & Administration

  • Case File Governance: Maintain highly organized physical and digital case files, ensuring that all evidence and pleadings are easily accessible and up to date.

  • Statutory Compliance: Monitor court calendars and legal deadlines to prevent any lapses in filing or appearances.

  • Mentorship Engagement: Actively participate in internal strategy sessions, utilizing feedback to refine your drafting and advocacy skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Law degree (LL.B) from a recognized institution. Completion of Law School (B.L) is a significant advantage.

  • Experience: Recent law graduate (0–1 year experience). We hire for potential and train for excellence.

  • Location: Must be willing to conduct frequent visits to various court registries and chambers.

Core Competencies

  • Research Mastery: Proficiency in utilizing legal databases and traditional libraries to find "the needle in the haystack."

  • Writing Skills: Ability to write with clarity, precision, and persuasive logic.

  • Integrity: Unwavering ethical standards—essential for handling sensitive client data and court proceedings.

  • Resilience: A professional attitude and the ability to thrive under the high-pressure deadlines of litigation.
