Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Production Line Electrician to join our technical team. In this role, you will be the guardian of our production efficiency, ensuring that all electrical systems and automated machinery on the manufacturing floor operate without interruption. You will be responsible for everything from routine preventive maintenance to high-speed troubleshooting of complex electrical faults. The ideal candidate is a disciplined professional who understands the unique hygiene and safety requirements of the food and beverage industry and is committed to maintaining a "zero-downtime" environment.

Requirements:

1. Technical Maintenance & Asset Reliability

• Routine Inspections: Conduct systematic daily audits of electrical components on high-speed production lines to identify wear and tear before failures occur.

• Preventive Upkeep: Execute scheduled maintenance on motors, sensors, control panels, and wiring systems to extend equipment lifecycle and optimize performance.

• Collaboration: Work as a tactical unit with mechanics and plant technicians to ensure holistic equipment health.

2. Advanced Troubleshooting & Diagnostics

• Rapid Response: Quickly diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions to minimize production downtime during critical shifts.

• Continuous Improvement: Assist site engineers in analyzing root causes of failures and developing technical plans to upgrade or improve machinery reliability.

3. Safety, Compliance & Governance

• Safety Protocols: Strictly adhere to all safety operating procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) and the use of specialized Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Supervised Operations: Ensure that all live electrical work is conducted under strict supervision as per industry standards.

• Reporting: Maintain precise, timestamped records of all repairs, inspections, and parts replacements in the technical logbook.

Qualifications and Skills:

Certifications & Education

• Licensing: Must hold a valid Electrician Operation License (e.g., Low-Voltage Operation Certificate).

• Education: A Technical Secondary School Diploma (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or related fields is highly preferred (Mandatory for candidates targeting global brands like PepsiCo).

• Demographics: Ideally suited for candidates under 40 years of age due to the physical nature of the production environment.

Experience & Skills

• Tenure: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical repair within a Food or Beverage manufacturing facility.

• Industry IQ: Familiarity with the electrical standards of high-speed bottling or packaging lines.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to navigate a fast-paced manufacturing floor and perform technical tasks with precision.
