Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber DevOps / Cloud Engineer to architect and scale our next-generation cloud infrastructure. This role is designed for a technical professional who views "infrastructure as code" and is passionate about building seamless, automated deployment pipelines that empower development teams.

Operating in a remote and hybrid capacity across our hubs in Abuja, Lagos, Oyo, and Rivers, you will be the guardian of our system's scalability, security, and performance. If you are an automation-first engineer who thrives on optimizing CI/CD workflows and managing complex cloud architectures, we want you to lead our technical operations.

Requirements:

. Cloud Orchestration & Infrastructure

• Strategic Architecture: Design and manage scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring high availability across multi-region deployments.

• IaC Governance: Implement "Infrastructure as Code" principles to manage environments, ensuring consistency between development, staging, and production.

• Security Hardening: Enforce cloud security best practices, including IAM roles, VPC configurations, and data encryption.

2. CI/CD & Automation Excellence

• Pipeline Engineering: Build and optimize end-to-end CI/CD pipelines to enable frequent, low-risk software releases.

• Containerization: Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes or similar services.

• Process Automation: Identify manual bottlenecks in the development lifecycle and eliminate them through scripting and automation tools.

3. Performance Monitoring & Reliability

• Observability: Implement robust monitoring and logging solutions to track system health, latency, and throughput in real-time.

• Incident Response: Lead root-cause analysis for system outages and implement preventative measures to ensure 99.9% uptime.

• Scalability Planning: Monitor resource utilization and automate scaling triggers to handle fluctuating traffic demands efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Cloud Mastery: Proven hands-on experience with major providers—AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• DevOps Toolchain: Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

• Scripting & Linux: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go and a deep understanding of Linux System Administration.

• Architectural Depth: A solid grasp of cloud-native design patterns and networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, SSL/TLS).
