About Company:
B. ADEDIPE ASSOCIATES LIMITED (“BAA Consult”, for short) is an indigenous business management consulting firm that was incorporated in February 1993, as General Management and Financial Consultants, and commenced operations in March 1994.
Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and strategically elite Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to anchor the financial engine of our Mortgage Bank. In the complex landscape of housing finance, success is defined by "Capital Sovereignty"—the ability to harmonize rapid balance sheet growth with the clinical precision required for liquidity management, IFRS compliance, and Asset-Liability Management (ALM). This role is designed for a "Financial Architect" with at least 13 years of post-qualification experience who can blend "Fiscal Grit" (overseeing treasury and tax) with the "Executive Diplomacy" required to advise the Board on institutional transformation.
Requirements:
1. Strategic Architecture & Balance Sheet Sovereignty
Growth Engineering: Develop and execute high-fidelity financial strategies to rapidly expand the balance sheet while maintaining clinical capital adequacy in line with the Bank’s expansion goals.
Executive Advisory: Serve as the "Strategic Source of Authority" for the MD/CEO and Board, providing expert guidance on financial structures, investment management, and long-term institutional stability.
Capital Orchestration: Lead all capital-raising initiatives and investment management activities, ensuring the bank remains a "Source of Liquidity" for its mortgage operations.
2. Regulatory Fidelity & Governance Logic
Compliance Sovereignty: Oversee full adherence to CBN, NDIC, and IFRS regulations, ensuring that all financial, tax, and regulatory reporting is meticulous and "Audit-Ready."
ALM Governance: Manage Asset-Liability Management (ALM) with millimetric precision, optimizing the bank's funding mix and interest rate sensitivity to protect profitability.
Portfolio Oversight: Provide high-level financial surveillance of mortgage portfolios, ensuring accurate asset valuation, provisioning, and risk-adjusted returns.
3. Operational Integrity & Treasury Leadership
Functional Stewardship: Direct the Finance, Accounting, Treasury, and Budgeting departments, fostering a culture of technical excellence and high-fidelity reporting.
Liquidity Optimization: Monitor and manage liquidity ratios and funding gaps, ensuring the bank maintains "Zero-Gap" operational stability during market fluctuations.
Institutional Ethics: Uphold the highest standards of integrity and transparency, ensuring all financial operations are synchronously aligned with corporate governance mandates.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. A Master’s degree (MBA/MSc Finance) is a significant strategic advantage.
Mandatory Certification: Professional qualification is required (ICAN, ACCA, or CPA).
Experience: Minimum 13 years’ post-qualification experience, including at least 5 years in senior management within mortgage banking or broader financial services.
Core Competencies
Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of CBN guidelines, mortgage banking operations, and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
Leadership Power: Proven ability to manage complex financial structures and lead large teams under high-pressure conditions.
Personal Attributes: High integrity, professional resilience, and the ability to maintain confidentiality at the highest levels.
