Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at our location on Chevron Drive, Lekki, Lagos. In this role, you will be the final point of contact for our customers, ensuring a seamless, efficient, and pleasant checkout experience. The ideal candidate will be professional, capable of handling financial transactions accurately, and dedicated to maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Requirements:

• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries regarding products or store policies, and provide professional assistance throughout the purchase process.

• Transaction Processing: Accurately scan goods and process various payment methods, including cash, debit/credit cards, and mobile payments.

• Financial Accuracy: Issue receipts, process refunds, and maintain a perfectly balanced cash drawer at all times.

• Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked. Pack or bag items efficiently for customers.

• Operations & Safety: Handle returns/exchanges, report pricing discrepancies or suspicious activities immediately to management, and strictly adhere to all company safety and operational procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Previous experience as a cashier, retail clerk, or in a similar customer-facing role is preferred.

• Math Skills: Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with a polite and professional demeanor.

• Reliability: High level of integrity, punctuality, and attention to detail.

• Tech Savvy: Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and digital payment platforms.

• Availability: Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
