Job Description:
We are looking for a hungry, proactive, and relationship-driven Business Development Officer to join our team in Port Harcourt. This is a field-focused role at the heart of our commercial growth. You will be responsible for expanding our footprint across diverse channels including construction projects, retail, and dealer networks. Requirements:
Market Expansion: Proactively identify and prospect new business opportunities across project, retail, dealer, and end-user channels.
Relationship Management: Build long-term, high-value partnerships with contractors, architects, developers, and painters. Serve as the face of our brand to drive consistent product adoption.
Sales Execution: Manage the entire sales cycle: generate leads, prepare competitive quotations, conduct product demonstrations, and aggressively follow up to convert prospects into revenue.
Market Intelligence: Conduct frequent field visits to monitor competitor activities and gather insights that help us stay ahead of the curve.
Reporting & Accountability: Maintain an active sales pipeline and submit timely activity reports. Focus on achieving monthly and annual sales targets to unlock performance bonuses.
Customer Excellence: Ensure customer retention by resolving inquiries and complaints swiftly, maintaining a professional image at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, Building Technology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
Experience: 0–2 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development. Experience in paint, construction materials, building products, or FMCG is highly preferred.
