Job Description:
We are seeking a high-energy and strategic Business Development Manager to lead our revenue growth and market expansion efforts. This role is designed for a "hunter" who can navigate the complex corporate landscape of Lagos to secure high-value contracts for car rentals, long-term leasing, and executive chauffeured services.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between our fleet capabilities and the mobility needs of corporate organizations, government agencies, and the hospitality sector, ensuring maximum fleet utilization and long-term profitability.
Requirements:
Business Growth & Sales Strategy
Client Acquisition: Identify, prospect, and secure new corporate, government, and individual accounts to expand the client base.
Strategic Proposals: Prepare and present compelling bids, service packages, and technical proposals for high-ticket mobility contracts.
Contract Management: Lead negotiations on pricing and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring favorable terms for the organization.
Market Expansion: Recommend new routes to market and innovative service offerings, such as executive leasing or specialized event logistics.
Account Management & Partnerships
Relationship Building: Maintain and scale long-term relationships with key accounts, including travel agencies, hotels, and event planners.
Customer Feedback: Serve as the primary liaison for key clients, gathering feedback to work with the operations team on service delivery improvements.
Strategic Alliances: Develop and manage partnerships with airlines, tourism businesses, and corporate firms in Ikeja and across Lagos to drive referrals.
Intelligence & Reporting
Market Research: Conduct ongoing analysis of competitor activities and mobility trends within the Nigerian transport sector.
Performance Tracking: Utilize data to track sales pipelines, conversion rates, and revenue performance, providing regular forecasts to senior management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Fleet Management and Finance to ensure that promised service levels are operationally and financially viable.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Transport Management, or a related field.
Experience: * 3–5 years of experience in business development or commercial sales roles.
Industry Preference: Direct experience in car rental, logistics, travel, or transportation is a strong advantage.
Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Core Competencies:
Lagos Market Mastery: Deep understanding of the Lagos corporate environment and business landscape.
Negotiation: Exceptional ability to close B2B deals and manage high-level stakeholder interests.
Commercial Awareness: Strong financial literacy and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Attributes:
An existing network of corporate or institutional clients in Lagos.
A valid Nigerian driver’s license.
