Job Description:
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Officer to lead the growth and scaling of our online marketplace. In this role, you will be the primary engine for revenue, responsible for driving sales and increasing order volumes across both our mobile app and web platforms. You will move beyond traditional sales to act as a strategic architect, building partnerships that position our marketplace as the premier procurement choice for both individuals and large organizations.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a "hunter" mindset someone who is comfortable pushing innovative financial products like Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) and influencing high-level corporate decision-makers to adopt our platform.
Requirements:
Sales & Growth Strategy
Revenue Generation: Drive aggressive sales growth and increase order volumes across the marketplace platform.
Market Expansion: Develop and execute hands-on strategies to capture new demographics and expand our footprint in the Nigerian e-commerce space.
Adoption Campaigns: Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to design and launch high-impact campaigns that drive user adoption and platform awareness.
Fintech & BNPL Promotion
Financial Product Push: Actively promote and drive the usage of our Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) and Outright Purchase options, helping customers and organizations manage their cash flow while increasing our sales.
Solution Selling: Educate potential users and organizations on the benefits of our financial ecosystem to drive higher transaction values.
Partnerships & Corporate Procurement
B2B Onboarding: Identify and onboard organizations to utilize the Mintyn platform for their bulk procurement and corporate needs.
Executive Engagement: Build and maintain strong, high-level relationships with corporate clients and key stakeholders.
Persuasive Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling pitches to senior management and C-suite decision-makers to close high-value strategic partnerships.
Intelligence & Reporting
Market Monitoring: Keep a pulse on market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to continuously refine our sales approach.
Performance Analytics: Track key growth metrics and provide regular, data-backed reports to leadership regarding sales activities and revenue targets.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
2–5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Partnerships.
Prior experience in FMCG, E-commerce, or Digital Marketplaces is highly preferred.
A proven track record of meeting or consistently exceeding ambitious sales targets.
