Job Description:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Purchase Order Processor to manage our procurement workflows and maintain the accuracy of our financial records. You will serve as the gatekeeper for our purchasing process, ensuring that every order is documented, authorized, and tracked, while keeping our books balanced and audit-ready. If you have a passion for financial accuracy, process efficiency, and structured administration, this role is a vital addition to our operations team.
Requirements:
Purchase Order Management: Own the end-to-end procurement process from generating and verifying purchase orders to tracking deliveries and matching them against invoices.
Bookkeeping & Ledgers: Maintain precise financial records, including recording daily transactions, managing accounts payable/receivable, and reconciling bank statements.
Documentation & Accuracy: Ensure all purchasing documentation is complete, accurate, and properly filed to support our financial reporting and audit readiness.
Vendor Coordination: Communicate effectively with suppliers to confirm order status, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely procurement of necessary resources.
Reporting: Assist in the preparation of regular financial reports and summary statements to provide management with a clear view of our spending and operational health.
Process Compliance: Ensure all purchases strictly adhere to company policies, budget approvals, and procurement standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, procurement, or administrative accounting roles.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Tally).
Understanding of standard accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
