Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Auditor to join our team in Ibadan. This role is essential in ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and strict compliance with organizational policies and statutory regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough financial and operational audits, identifying potential risks, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance internal controls.

Requirements:

• Audit Execution: Plan and execute comprehensive internal audits of financial, operational, and administrative processes.

• Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that company activities comply with relevant financial standards, government regulations, and internal policies.

• Risk Assessment: Identify potential areas of financial or operational risk and recommend strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.

• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations for senior management.

• Process Improvement: Review existing internal control systems and provide suggestions to optimize operational efficiency and prevent fraudulent activity.

• Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with various department heads to ensure audit findings are understood and that recommended improvements are implemented.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• Professional Qualification: Possession of (or active pursuit of) a professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CIA is highly preferred.

• Experience: Previous experience in internal/external auditing, financial analysis, or general accounting.

• Key Competencies:

  • Analytical Mindset: Excellent ability to interpret financial data and spot inconsistencies or anomalies.

  • Attention to Detail: A high level of precision in reviewing records and documenting findings.

  • Integrity: Unquestionable ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Communication: Ability to communicate complex audit findings clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
