Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly ethical Audit Officer to serve as a critical pillar of our organization’s internal audit and governance function. In this role, you will do more than just review records; you will act as a guardian of institutional integrity, identifying risks before they manifest and optimizing internal controls to drive sustainable growth.

Requirements:

1. Internal Control & Governance Evaluation

• Systematic Auditing: Conduct comprehensive internal audits to assess the robustness of risk management and governance processes.

• Compliance Oversight: Review financial records and operational procedures to ensure 100% alignment with internal company policies and national regulatory standards.

• Process Mapping: Analyze end-to-end workflows to identify hidden control weaknesses, process gaps, and potential financial risks.

2. Reporting & Remediation Strategy

• Strategic Reporting: Prepare high-impact audit reports that clearly articulate findings, risk implications, and actionable recommendations for senior management.

• Follow-up Governance: Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations, ensuring that corrective actions are not just planned, but effectively executed.

• Corrective Action Planning: Collaborate with department heads to develop practical, scalable solutions to identified vulnerabilities.

3. Ethics, Integrity & Investigations

• Fraud Mitigation: Support specialized investigations into suspected irregularities or non-compliance issues with the utmost discretion.

• Compliance Culture: Act as a brand ambassador for ethics, collaborating with internal stakeholders to promote a strong, self-sustaining culture of compliance.

• Professional Objectivity: Maintain absolute confidentiality and objectivity in all activities, serving as an unbiased observer of organizational health.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of core experience in auditing, internal control, or compliance.

• Certifications: Professional certification such as ICAN, ANAN, or CIA is highly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage.

Technical & Behavioral Skills

• Analytical Grit: Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data and identify patterns of non-compliance or inefficiency.

• Software Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern auditing software (e.g., TeamMate, IDEA, or ACL).

• Communication Mastery: Strong verbal and written skills, with the ability to present sensitive findings in a constructive, professional manner.
