Job Description:

We are seeking a diplomatically nuanced, operationally agile, and structurally rigorous Assistant CLO Coordinator to anchor the community-support framework and moral-integrity engine of the U.S. Mission in Abuja. In a high-stakes diplomatic landscape where institutional momentum is dictated by the velocity of community integration and the precision of the crisis-response filter success is defined by "Mission Sovereignty" the ability to harmonize the Eight Areas of CLO Responsibility (employment, education, crisis management, community liaison, etc.) with the clinical precision required for Strategic Information Flow, Stakeholder Advocacy, and Operational Data Management. This role is designed as an "Integrity Command Center a critical mission for an ambitious professional who can blend "Diplomatic Grit" (mastering the complexities of U.S. federal procedures) with the "Structural Agility" required to execute High-Fidelity Program Workflows.

Requirements:

1. Operational Governance & Liaison Sovereignty

  • Sovereignty of the Community: Support the CLO Coordinator in fulfilling the Eight Areas of Responsibility (Family member employment, education, communications, outreach, etc.), acting as the primary "Source of Community Throughput."

  • Program Architecture: Identify post-community needs and respond with effective programming, information, and referrals, providing the "Structural Foundation" for morale-building.

  • Integrity Stewardship: Ensure 100% compliance with Department of State programs and policies, ensuring the "Source of Mission-Compliance" is elite and uncompromised.

2. Crisis Response & Strategic Logic

  • Resilience Sovereignty: Serve as a front-line responder in crisis management and security, acting as the primary "Source of Community-Resilience Momentum."

  • Advocacy Architecture: Develop advocacy plans and formulate program ideas, providing the "Functional Foundation" for addressing quality-of-life issues.

  • Relationship Stewardship: Interact independently with clients to manage sensitive/confidential matters, maintaining the "Source of Professional External-Representation."

3. Data Integrity & Program Performance

  • Administrative Sovereignty: Maintain accurate records, data collection, and report writing, acting as the primary "Source of Executive Insight."

  • Process Architecture: Utilize Microsoft Office Toolkits to manage events and communications, providing the "Relational Foundation" for data-driven decisions.

  • Velocity Logic: Utilize Diplomatic-Mission expertise to accelerate the "Issue-Identification-to-Referral" cycle, maximizing the "Source of Operational Momentum."

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Completion of at least two (2) years of college or university studies (Mandatory).

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in administration, office management, customer service, program management, or public policy.

  • Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret level security clearance.

  • Technical Power: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience in data collection and report writing.

  • Aptitude: Exceptional interpersonal skills, sound judgment in high-stress/fast-paced environments, and deep discretion regarding confidential information.

  • Language: Good working knowledge (speaking, reading, and writing) of English.
