Job Description:

We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to anchor our expansion in the Enugu region. If you are a seasoned sales professional with a deep understanding of the FMCG landscape, this is your opportunity to take ownership of a key territory. You will be responsible for the entire sales ecosystem, from managing distributors and retail partners to motivating your team to exceed ambitious revenue targets.

Requirements:

  • Sales Execution: Drive the achievement of regional sales and revenue targets through disciplined execution and aggressive market penetration.

  • Channel Management: Cultivate and manage strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners to ensure optimal product availability and shelf presence.

  • Market Intelligence: Serve as the "eyes and ears" of the organization in Enugu. You will monitor market trends, track competitor activities, and provide insights that shape our regional strategy.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate a sales team to perform at their peak, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.

  • Operational Reporting: Deliver accurate sales forecasts and performance reports, ensuring management has the data needed to make informed resource-allocation decisions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Marketing, Business Administration, etc.).

  • Experience: 3–5 years of solid experience in FMCG sales is mandatory. You must be familiar with the local dynamics of the Enugu market.

  • Key Competencies:

    • Commercial Acumen: A proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales quotas.

    • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage and inspire a field sales team.

    • Communication: Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with key distributors.

    • Resilience: Ability to work in a high-pressure, target-driven environment and maintain focus on long-term growth.
