Job Description:

We are seeking a visionary AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models within our ecosystem. Based in our Ikoyi hub, this role is designed for a professional who doesn't just build models in isolation but understands how to move them from a Jupyter Notebook into a robust, scalable production environment.

As our AI Engineer, you will own the entire lifecycle of our intelligence features—from selecting the right LLM architecture and fine-tuning embeddings to architecting the MLOps pipelines that ensure our models remain accurate and cost-effective. Requirements:

1. Model Development & LLM Orchestration

• Custom Intelligence: Build and fine-tune state-of-the-art ML models (NLP, Computer Vision, and LLMs) tailored to specific business domains.

• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG): Architect advanced RAG systems using vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus) to provide models with domain-specific context.

• Optimization: Fine-tune prompt engineering and model hyper-parameters to balance output quality with computational cost and latency.

2. MLOps & Production Engineering

• Pipeline Automation: Establish and manage automated MLOps pipelines using MLflow, Kubeflow, or Vertex AI for continuous training, versioning, and deployment.

• Infrastructure as Code: Leverage Docker and Kubernetes to containerize and scale AI workloads across cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure).

• Monitoring & Feedback: Implement robust monitoring systems to track model drift and performance metrics, ensuring continuous iteration based on real-world feedback.

3. Integration & Systems Architecture

• API Integration: Seamlessly integrate AI features into existing application backends, ensuring high availability and low-latency responses.

• Data Synergy: Collaborate with data specialists to curate high-quality datasets, implementing reinforcement learning where necessary to improve model accuracy.

• Multi-Modal Innovation: Explore and deploy multi-modal AI models to enhance user interaction across different data formats (text, image, audio).

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Experience: Proven experience as an ML or AI Engineer with a portfolio of production-level deployments.

• Framework Mastery: Strong proficiency in Python and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face.

• Cloud & DevOps: Deep understanding of cloud ecosystems and containerization (Docker/K8s).

• Advanced AI: Experience with LLM fine-tuning, embeddings, and vector database management.
