ACCOUNTS OFFICER AT KAAF SPECIALIST HOSPITAL | ACCOUNTS OFFICER JOBS IN LAGOS

Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria | Posted on 10/02/2026

About Company:

KAAF Specialist Hospital is a highly ethical organization, providing Obstetric and Gynaecological, Paediatric, and other healthcare services, with a commitment to excellence and integrity. We are on a mission to provide qualitative, innovative, and integrated services for women and children, using state of the art equipment and motivated personnel to exceed our clientele’s expectation at affordable prices.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to anchor our financial operations. In this pivotal role, you will be the primary custodian of the hospital’s revenue cycle, specifically focusing on the management and reconciliation of Health Management Organization (HMO) claims.

The ideal candidate is a technical accountant who understands that healthcare finance requires both "hard" accounting skills and "soft" relationship management. You will bridge the gap between clinical services and financial recovery, ensuring that all treatments are accurately billed, reconciled, and paid. If you have 2–3 years of experience in a healthcare setting and a mastery of Sage ERP, we invite you to join our team.

Requirements:

1. HMO Claims Management & Revenue Recovery

  • Claims Processing: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of HMO claims, from verifying treatment codes to ensuring prompt submission.

  • Receivables Reconciliation: Meticulously reconcile HMO remittances against hospital records, identifying and resolving discrepancies or denials immediately.

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the strategic point of contact for HMO partners to expedite payments and resolve billing inquiries.

2. Financial Control & General Ledger Management

  • Journaling & Bookkeeping: Post standard journal entries and maintain the integrity of the General Ledger (GL).

  • Bank & Payable Reconciliation: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable to ensure vendor and supplier accounts are accurate.

  • Transaction Monitoring: Continuously monitor financial transactions to detect anomalies and ensure adherence to internal controls.

3. Reporting, Budgeting & Audit Support

  • Budgetary Assistance: Provide data-driven support in the preparation and monitoring of departmental and hospital-wide budgets.

  • Audit Readiness: Participate in internal and external audits by providing accurate schedules, documentation, and explanations for financial entries.

  • Financial Insights: Prepare weekly and monthly reports on HMO aging and collection trends to inform management decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting or Finance.

  • Experience: 2–3 years of relevant experience. Direct experience in HMO claims management and healthcare reconciliation is mandatory.

  • Technical IQ: In-depth knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations and healthcare billing processes.

Core Competencies

  • Software Mastery: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions) and at least one accounting software, with a strong preference for Sage ERP.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to data entry and financial verification.

  • Communication IQ: Excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships with external HMO practitioners and internal medical staff.

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex financial data and aging reports.

Salary

N160,000 - N180,000 monthly.
