Job Description:

The company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with at least 3 years of experience to join its finance team. The successful candidate will manage daily accounting operations, prepare financial reports, and ensure full compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.

  • Prepare and review journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounts.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collection.

  • Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.

  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and assist in tax return preparation and filing.

  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.

  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as necessary.

  • Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books) to process and manage financial data.

  • Provide both administrative and financial support as required.

Requirements:

  • B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in an accounting or finance position.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical and organizational abilities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • ICAN or ACCA certification (in view or completed) will be an added advantage.
