We are seeking a high-velocity and structurally elite Accountant to anchor the financial engine of our institution in Aba. In a specialized academic landscape where institutional momentum is dictated by the speed of the cash flow and the precision of the resource allocation success is defined by "Fiscal Sovereignty" the ability to harmonize educational budgeting with the clinical precision required for Payroll Management, General Ledger Oversight, and Financial Forecasting. This role is designed for a "Financial Architect" specifically a professional with 6 to 10 years of experience who can blend "Commercial Grit" (managing accounts payable/receivable and reconciliations) with the "Strategic Agility" required to execute Policy Development and Audit Support.
Requirements:
1. Orchestration & Planning Governance
Sovereignty of the Budget: Prepare and manage the school’s budget and financial forecasting with millimetric focus, acting as the primary "Source of Institutional Sustainability."
Reporting Architecture: Generate accurate income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, providing the "Structural Foundation" for data-led decision-making.
Integrity Stewardship: Ensure strict compliance with financial regulations and internal controls, ensuring the "Source of Fiscal Security" is elite and uncompromised.
2. Tactical Resilience & Operational Logic
Transaction Sovereignty: Process invoices, receipts, and payroll with high-velocity precision, acting as the primary "Source of Operational Continuity."
Record Architecture: Maintain an impeccable general ledger and perform timely bank reconciliations, providing the "Functional Foundation" for audit-readiness.
Policy Stewardship: Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, maintaining the "Source of Standardized Financial Management."
3. Operational Integrity & Collaboration Power
Guidance Sovereignty: Provide expert financial advice to school leadership and departments, acting as the primary "Source of Resource Optimization."
Communication Architecture: Articulate complex financial information to stakeholders, including parents and teachers, providing the "Relational Foundation" for institutional trust.
Velocity Logic: Utilize Advanced Excel and Accounting Software expertise to accelerate the "Transaction-to-Report" cycle, maximizing the "Source of Administrative Throughput."
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certification: Professional certifications (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) are a distinct advantage.
Experience: 6 – 10 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a school or nonprofit environment.
Technical Power: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
