Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Account Executive to manage the financial operations of our office in Ajah. In this role, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial management—from daily bookkeeping and cash flow monitoring to high-level forecasting and reporting. You will ensure that our financial records are meticulous, compliant, and provide actionable insights to support our strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate is a QuickBooks expert with a strong background in the oil and gas or construction sectors and the technical proficiency to manage complex general ledgers.

Requirements:

Financial Management & Analysis

  • Strategic Planning: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to ensure long-term fiscal health.

  • Analysis: Perform detailed financial analysis to identify trends and variances, providing management with data-driven recommendations for improvement.

  • Cash Flow: Monitor and manage daily cash flow to ensure operational liquidity for both ongoing tasks and strategic initiatives.

Software Mastery & Reporting

  • QuickBooks Operations: Utilize QuickBooks proficiently for all financial transactions, bank reconciliations, and comprehensive reporting.

  • Financial Statements: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  • ERP Advantage: Utilize ODOO or other advanced accounting software to streamline financial workflows and data accuracy.

Accounting Operations

  • General Ledger: Manage the complete general ledger, including the posting of journal entries and executing month-end and year-end closing procedures.

  • Account Reconciliation: Ensure all accounts are reconciled regularly to maintain the integrity of financial data.

  • Compliance: Ensure all financial activities align with established accounting principles, reporting standards, and local financial regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Degree: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial management.

  • Sector Knowledge: Previous experience within the Oil & Gas or Construction industries is highly preferred.

Technical Skills & Certifications

  • QuickBooks Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks is mandatory for this role.

  • Certifications: Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) is a significant added advantage.

  • Software: Expertise in ODOO or similar ERP systems is an asset.

  • Accounting Principles: In-depth understanding of financial regulations and international reporting standards.

Salary

₦200,000 - ₦250,000/month
