Job Description:
- Truck Ambassador Nigerian Limited, a transport and logistics company in Abuja is seeking an experienced and highly organized Logistics Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and supervision of all logistics operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination:
- Manage and allocate drivers for assignments to maximize productivity and ensure all trucks are in top working order.
- Ensure that all Trucks are compliant with legal, regulatory and contractual requirements, and where necessary escalate any identified issues and recommend a resolution to the management.
- Ensure that the necessary numbers of fleet vehicles are always available
- Control fleet administration and operation; maintenance, driver and customer interactions.
- Oversee transportation and ensure timely delivery of products to designated locations.
- Optimize routes and reduce logistics costs.
- Ensure proper documentation of all logistics activities.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Collaborate with Suppliers sales and operations teams to ensure seamless workflow.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulations.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting purposes.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise logistics officers and drivers
- Conduct performance reviews for logistics team members.
- Allocate tasks effectively and monitor employee performance.
- Promote a positive and productive team environment.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
- Prepare and present logistics reports including delivery performance and cost analysis.
- Identify gaps in the logistics process and implement improvements.
- Track KPIs such as delivery timelines and transportation costs.
- Recommend technology solutions for logistics optimization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4 - 7 years proven experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of logistics processes and local transportation regulations.
- Proficiency in logistics/warehouse software and MS Office tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
